What is the purpose of a Presidential Preference Primary?
The purpose of the presidential
preference primary is to establish a basis for the selection of Connecticut
delegates to the national convention of the party named. The votes cast at this
primary will determine, in accordance with the law and the rules of the party,
the number of delegates, if any, committed to the listed candidates for the
party’s presidential nomination, and the number of uncommitted delegates, if
any.
Who can vote?
ONLY registered
Republican and Democrats can vote in this primary, and then for only their
party.
